Newmarket Day Centre is a successful, independent community resource based in the heart of Newmarket.

The charity believes in and promotes the importance of maintaining a high quality of life in older age. We aim to combat loneliness and depression, support independence and social inclusion and retain self-worth.

You do NOT have to be a member to attend, just pluck up the courage to walk through the door and you will be welcomed; Our only requirement is that you are aged 50 or above. You are however, permitted to bring guests of any age along with you.

We have people from all walks of life who regularly attend for food, fun and friendship.

We also offer comprehensive day care provision if required. You can self-refer to us or contact your GP or social services for a more formal referral.

The atmosphere at the day centre is friendly and vibrant – not at all what some people may expect!

We pride ourselves on our wide and varied activity and entertainment program which includes themed event days with live musical entertainment, street parties, race days and much more.

We have a small team of 9 who are all friendly, helpful, and dedicated. The team are supported every day by a number of volunteers old and new.
