Famed for its delicious Italian cuisine, Unico opened its doors in Newmarket in August 2021 and has never looked back. With dishes to delight every taste, desire and demand, the eclectic menu ensures no one is left feeling hungry.

Launching the Unico brand with four restaurants across Essex, Newmarket moved the business into Suffolk after the then vacant building proved too tempting to owners. A fantastic large and open space with many areas for diners to enjoy, the building received a complete makeover and now offers an elegant space for a variety of uses and events.

Eighteen months later, and the team have never looked back. With popular dishes including a fish sharing starter consisting of fried calamari, fish croquettes, Mediterranean shrimp and white bait, as well as linguine with seafood, it’s clear Newmarket is a community of fish lovers.

Working with local suppliers wherever they can, the team offers the highest levels of service across all areas – from the kitchen to the waiting staff to the mixologists behind the bar. Serving an incredible selection of cocktails, the current barman has previous experience working with Michelin starred restaurants in Portugal, and now creates some incredible cocktails here at Unico.

With an exciting diary of events already scheduled for 2023, the team look set for a busy year ahead. Popular throughout the week and at weekends, with spaces available for private hire and a menu full of authentic flavours, Unico is a thriving base for all food lovers to enjoy.

6th April – The Elvis & Rock ‘n’ Roll Show - This is not one to miss, with tickets already nearly sold out. £55pp. A la carte also available in other areas of the restaurant. Performances from 19:30.
