Join us for this year's Christmas Lights Switch On event - Friday 21st November, from 4.30pm!
Marking the start of the festive shopping season, come and celebrate with the Newmarket community.
This year we're proud to welcome a local hero to turn on the lights, which is none other than Mark O'Reilly. After receiving numerous votes for his work with the youth community over the past 30 years, we're proud to be giving back to this wonderful individual and hope you'll join us in seeing him set our town alight this Christmas.
The High Street will close once again to welcome a family friendly funfare, local food stalls and plenty of shopping opportunities within our stores, restaurants and eateries.
With events taking place on stage all through the evening you can enjoy:
5:05- Fairstead House School Choir
5:25- The Snow Sisters, Ice Master and Deliver, and our Snowman Friend
5:45- Vogue Athletics
6:05- Starlight Sisters
6:30- Newmarket Community Choir
7:00- Switch On with Mark O'Reilly.
Car Parks & Toilets
All public car parks will be free from 4pm. The Guineas multi-story will be open later until 9pm. The Guineas toilets will be open until 9pm.
This year we're also pleased to extend our offering of food stalls, transforming the area in front of the Bill Tutte Memorial. We will welcome:
The Tack Box
Waitrose
Il Sapori di Napoli
Bravo Cafe
Richer Spirits
Paulina's Chilean Bakery
Many of our local businesses will also remain open throughout the evening making it a wonderful celebration of the season and our community. Come along and join in the fun!
A huge thank you to this year's sponsors: Crem Recruitment, Newmarket Town Council and Tattersalls.
